2. Entire men’s slopestyle athlete field pulls out of Crankworx Rotorua
A rare sight of athletes banding together to demand better conditions for competition. After a series of negotiations aimed at addressing rider requests around remuneration and support infrastructure, the male competitors of the Crankworx FMBA Slopestyle World Championship event on Sunday, March 24, did not participate in this year’s competition. 3. On Running posts massive revenue gains
A relative new comer on the footwear scene but starting to challenge mainstream rivals with some impressive growth figures. Something in those weird sole patterns is definitely striking a chord. 55% increase in revenue. 50 new stores in ‘23, 100 new stores in ‘24. 63% YOY increase in web traffic. Sales in EMEA up 35%. Sales in the Americas up 61%. Sales in APAC up 96%.
